Care Staff

Under the enthusiastic leadership of Donna Burrows staff work together to ensure that our residents are well cared for and happy, with a calm and relaxed atmosphere in the home.

All staff at The Swallows have been thoroughly vetted and DBS checked prior to appointment and once in post are properly trained and continuously supported to ensure that they can provide the high standard of care demanded by the proprietors. Many staff have NVQ qualifications at levels 1, 2, or 3.  The manager, Donna Burrows, has NVQ level 4, the Registered Manager’s Award and over 25 years experience of working with the elderly.

We recognise that qualifications aren’t everything – a caring attitude is far more important – but they do mean that there is a good level of verified professional knowledge within the team.

We are proud of our stable staff team with several individuals who have been in post for many years. This indicates a happy team and promotes excellent continuity of care because all the carers are confident in their work and the residents know and trust them.

All our staff can speak good English. We never use agency staff.
